‘Get off your high horse’: Condescending teen claims to be better than the hardworking door-to-door salespeople, employee teaches young teen a lesson in humility

While not all occupations are ideal, they enable you to pay your bills and make ends meet, therefore we should never criticize someone based solely on their line of work. Most likely, every diligent person strives to support both themselves and their family. So, how would you respond if a young, entitled employee willingly showed up for work and declared that the job was not worth his time and effort?

The story that follows is the tale of a grumpy yet diligent worker. An arrogant adolescent who had come to work approached the Original Poster (OP) while they were door-to-door marketing. He stated that he would not be at this work for very long because he was confident in his abilities and that he planned to pursue higher education. Even so, he didn't hesitate to express his distaste for the job as soon as he started working there, ignoring the potential repercussions on his relationships with his coworkers.

Naturally, OP decided to teach the arrogant teen a lesson after growing tired of him.     annoying but we tried to ignore him. So this AH drinks an entire bottle of Mountain Dew soda straught from the bottle, the only one our manager bought an leaves none for anyone else. Not even thinking we'd like some too. He drank a whole bunch of water too. Annoying I was partnered with him for the next round of house calls-hoping together we could get a sale.

    Later we're calling at houses on an almost deserted suburban area, basically nobody there-but work says we gotta cover it all anyway because there's intel on a lot of work people might need doing or something. In my short stint there, I never sold 1 bulb. I didn't know anyone else working there who did. What I took from that was that people love to hate on and mistreat cold call sales people.
